The Mercedes CL Coupe sits at the top of
the Mercedes Benz range, along side the S Class saloon.
This car is not short of anything, the interior is sumptuous,
power is immense and it's a huge car capable of carrying
four adults quickly in complete luxury. The range starts
with the CL500, and considering its size, it is very quick,
but it's the way in which the CL gets there that makes this
car so impressive. It's ultra-smooth and very refined with
loads of low-down power for effortless overtaking. The CL500
model also gets the 7G-Tronic seven-speed gearbox, which
gives unnoticeable automatic gear changes and the added
ability to choose gears manually.
The CL600 has a bi-turbo 5.5-litre V12
engine, there's a phenomenal amount of pulling power. which
means acceleration at motorway speeds is smooth and breathtakingly
fast, The CL600 has a five-speed auto in place of the CL500's
seven-speed.
