The Mercedes SL arguably has the finest folding hard top available, this compliments an elegantly designed body which gets you noticed with the roof up or down. The SL350 is smooth and sweet, while the SL500 is quick enough to do justice to the looks.
The SL55 AMG has nearly 480bhp thanks to a supercharged V8, while the SL600 offers similar performance but with a more refined delivery from its twin-turbo V12 engine. For anybody wanting more power the SL65 is the ultimate with 612bhp, all models are restricted to155mph thanks to the engine limiter. Equipment levels are fairly comprehensive, the SL350 gets the essential luxuries, comprehensive safety equipment and of course that superb electric folding hard-top. The SL500 includes automatic climate control, bi-xenon headlights and the Mercedes’ Command navigation and audio system with a CD autochanger. The SL55 AMG adds a full AMG body kit, and AMG interior fittings.
